While his friends were shopping at the mall, Beau Quillian was combing the thrift, mission and Salvation Army stores near his small Florida home town to find unique pieces and get a look that was all his own. While attending college and working as a waiter he scored a job as a PA on a catalogue shooting on the Gulf beach. Instantly bitten by the fashion bug he moved to New York at only nineteen to start his career in the industry. After working for different fashion stylists and an assistant job at Calvin Klein he had landed a coveted job at Harper's BAZAAR working with then Fashion Director, Tonne
Goodman. He moved up to become the Associate Fashion Editor and continued to work on the title for 5 more years.

After Bazaar, Beau became Sittings Editor on legendary Mademoiselle Magazine and then the Fashion Editor on Marie Claire. While at Marie Claire, he also appeared as a series regular and judge for the first cycle of America's Next Top Model.

In 2003, Atoosa Rubenstein hired Beau as the Style Director of Seventeen Magazine. His keen perspective on fashion and style helped revive the brand and give it a fresh voice in a, then, overcrowded teen market. In his first year on the title, his celebrity covers jumped double digits in newsstand sales as well as reversed a five-year decline. Beau left the magazine in 2007 to pursue a freelance career, however he continues to work on celebrity and fashion projects for the magazine.

Beau has worked with such publications as Cosmopolitan, In Style, Italian Amica and foreign editions of BAZAAR and Marie Claire. His various advertising clients have included Christian Dior, Cover Girl, Lacoste, Aeropostale, Kohl's, Lord & Taylor and Macy's. Photographers he's worked with include Patrick Demarchelier, Terry Richardson, Cliff Watts, Tiziano Magni, Chris Militscher, Ben Watts, Bumper, Anna Menke and George Holz. His eye for detail and ability to fit all different figures has earned him the opportunity to work with celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Nicole Ritchie, Jordan Sparks, Emma Robertds, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Simpson, to name a few.

Beau works as a local between New York and Los Angeles.
